5. September – Duo Tham + Nth Synthesis

It happens among colleagues, in those lost moments between a sip of beer and a glance in the other direction, that we wonder why no noise a capella group exists so far. Every one of us is capable of reproducing the sounds that usually are generated by effect pedals and lots of pushing and shoving along.

A libretto or at least a score can easily be thought of, and prove to be helpful. Radical practice of the improvisation might sound something like schwwuugrrrhttt, or perhaps bbbbrrrrrvvvvwwwiiiiiiiuuuughhgh

Buddhist monks, bulgarian housewives or gregorian chants? we offer you an entity which grows rich of the contrast of the numeric treatments : mmmwwwiiittthhyyyyt – - -kkuujhdhyykkuujhhd

Swiss cows or whale songs, the idyllic rushings of a mountain stream…flushing ideas? what about a hypnotic and totally intuitive intensity? ooooommmmmmmmm

Duo Tham and Nth Synthesis are on a little Berlin Kreuzberg/Neukölln tour: 1st Stop Mme Claude, 2nd Stop Chez Nous, 3rd stop Wendel. Beer is cheapest at our place. But don’t cross the street after your 2nd bottle. Traffic is intense these days. You might unvoluntarily be the cause of a noise concert yourself.

Anyway, if you want to come and sing (or hum) along, then saturday is good for some good low volume noise: you will be heard!
Saturday 5 September – start 20.45, end 22.00
Duo Tham
Nth Synthesis
Flughafenstrasse 38
U8 Boddinstrasse
U7 Rathaus Neukölln
For those who think we are situated in the middle of nowhere, and don’t have a clue where to go once I start sweeping the sidewalk:
In the nearby Boddinstrasse there is a nice African bistro that gives you a taste of West African life and beer at 1,50, it’s open untill 02.00 o’clock. The hip stretch of Weserstrasse (between Reuter and Pannier) is at 9 minutes walk, it has four bars for every category of human being; they are open untill late. If you want to explore the ancient Neukölln rites in bars that stay open all night up in the Flughafenkwartier, then ask the illuminati in our store.
And some evenings NK starts when we stop.
